Joining Elvet Striders

There will always be a helping hand when you need one.

Joining Elvet Striders couldn't be easier. Just pop along on any Wednesday night for a run. Introduce yourself to someone and they'll help you pick a group to run with. On club runs, the first Wednesday of each month, we all run together and this is an ideal time to find your pace in the club.

Once you've run with us two or three times you can decided if you want to join. Membership of Elvet Striders costs £10 per year payable in October. In additional you will need to become a member of Maiden Castle in order to use the facilities, changing, showers, parking, etc. Membership of Maiden Castle is £42 per year and should normally be done through the club. However, if you are a member of staff at the university you can join as a staff member at the same cost and have the money deducted directly from your salary. If you are a student at the university the you are probably already a member of Maiden Castle. Finally, if you are a member of the gym, the DU Fitness Suite, then you are already a member of Maiden Castle.
