Here's a lovely animation from James Jarvis called Onwards. He writes of it, "The film was inspired by certain personal experiences in running - a favourite run over Blanchland moor in Northumberland, being attacked by a crow in Singapore - and also by the transcendent, almost psychedelic experience of the simple act of running."
Roz Layton was 1st GBR and 5th overall in her age group in the World Triathlon Championships held in Budapest on the 12th of September: 1.5K swim/40K bike/10K run. Results here though Roz's class isn't showing currently.
Read all about Will Horsley's successful Durham Hewitts Round on the NFR website. That's 11 summits in Weardale & Teesdale, about 47 miles, solo and unsupported in 10h 39m, lowering the previous record by 3.5 hours.
The Runners of the Year were voted on and announced at the AGM. The Male Runner of the Year was Alister Robson, with runner up Tom Reeves. The Female Runner of the Year was Nina Mason, with runner up Keri Pearson. The Most Improved Male Runner was Peter Bell, and the Most Improved Female Runner was Kathryn Sygrove. Congratulations to all the winners and contenders!
