County Hall is a major landmark in Durham and many of you will already know where it is and how to get there. There are frequent trains to Durham from Newcastle and Darlington. The station is around half a mile from the course. This County Hall Map shows the local area.

Parking

Race Parking is at Durham County Hall (DH1 5UF) car park only. It's free and only 400m from the start.

Please do not park anywhere else. Please do not try to park closer to the course as you will be charged, or worse, and we could lose this venue. There will be plenty of parking for everybody at County Hall but please car share and obey the car park marshals. NB coaches: please park in the nearby DLI Museum car park (see the County Hall Map for more information).

The course is walking distance from County Hall car park (follow the signs) and is on the former Aykley Heads sports fields.

The venue

The course is located near County Hall in Durham City. County Hall is well served by the B6532 north of the City Centre which passes the main entrance. We have permission from Durham County Council to use their facilities on site: we can also use the toilets in the foyer of County Hall. Public transport to the site is also good with rail and bus services within walking distance.

Registration

Registration is in County Hall reception area should you need it. Use the main entrance to County Hall. Toilets are located in County Hall foyer and there will be portaloos close to the race start area. Do not enter County Hall in muddy shoes - they won't let us come back next year if you do!
