Wallington Hall, Cambo, Northumberland NE61 4AR


A1 North, until round the bypass, across the Tyne and past the A69 exit.

Turn left onto the A696 ('Jedburgh', 'Ponteland', 'Airport').

Keep going for about 16 miles, past the airport and about 5 miles beyond Belsay.

Turn right onto the B6342 ('Cambo', and 'Wallington' on a brown sign).

After a couple of winding miles, The entrance to the National Trust car park at Wallington Hall is on the left.

From Morpeth: Take the B6343 west through Scots Gap until Cambo (approx. 12 miles). Turn left onto the B6342 - the car park is about a mile along on the right.

The venue

There will be a £2 parking charge, which will entitle you to visit the rest of the Wallington grounds.

National Trust members can park free if they bring their parking passes or membership cards.

There is a large car park next to the course but congestion will be reduced if athletes share transport.

Please show respect for the facilities, park considerately and take your litter home.

The course

Loopy course mainly round the edges of fields, with a wooded section towards the end of each lap. Not much in the way of hills - 'mildly undulating', say. Quite long - the men ran 6.5 miles in total.
